What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday

I really enjoy taking part in the sticky beak fest that is What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday.  Head over to the Stamping Ground to join in in the fun yourself!  This is what my desk looks like today:

A lovely lady who I met a few years ago in a garden centre craft shop recently gave me lots of cardmaking kits that she didn't want anymore.  I'm trying to use them up and make lots of Christmas cards to sell this year, which is why my desk is covered in little bits of découpage.  Not my usual thing (I do love stamping!) but it's nice to do something different and it's nice to see things physically being used up!

Right, off to glue some more...

I'll be popping around to nosey at a load of desks later.  Thanks for stopping by,

  3. I know what you mean, I haven't done decoupage for years, despite buying masses of them when I first started. I found a whole boxful when I moved rooms. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #29 xx

  4. How cool - they are gorgeous cards. I love decoupage and spend ages cutting up my own pictures and stamped stuff to do it :-D
Thank you for letting me snoop today :-)

  8. Looks like you are having so much fun making your cards! I would show you my desk, but unfortunately, it is buried under tons of things at the moment. It looks rather like an explosion took place between holidays. I'm working on Halloween, Christmas & Thanksgiving & have things from all seasons out at once. You have inspired me to put at least part of it away!

  9. You will be busy then with all those kits to use....hope you sell them all. I have to say I love stamping to, not so into the whole decoupage thing myself. There is a give away over on my blog of a mini album kit if you are interested XX Julie (paperpathway) xx

  10. Hi Victoria
isn't it lovely how crafters are great givers I think we would all rather give to someone that will do something with it than to throw it away.
I hope you get some great cards out of it
Happy WOYWW have an enjoyable week hugs Ria #22

  12. Hi Victoria,

That's great that you are making the cards to sell. It's nice that your friend gave them to you rather than discard them. They are cute (even though they aren't stamping).

    Happy WOYWW

  16. I used to think they were not my thing either..but they can become a bit addicting.
I like to buy tiny floral themed card packets at the thrift shop for 20 cents, and then sit watching TV and fussy cut the floral images. I then decoupage those. Packs come in sets of a dozen and can get four 3 payer cards from that. Might be a good source for your sale.

I watch for the sort of older style ones as the paper is mat finish rather than shiny.
Would love to see your finished cards up close!
