The colour combination at Simply Stampin' has had me really stumped. What stamps would work with this unusual mix? I decided they would work better with a 'fun' sort of card so after much pondering, I plumped for Easy Events to make some quick little notecards. They are only 4" square... so mini!
Easy Events was one of the stamp sets that came as part of my Starter Kit and I had only previously used the baby duck image. Well, it was so much fun (and so quick) to make one notecard that I thought I may as well make three. Here they are:
The wedding and snail cards were coloured directly with markers, whereas I used the blender pen for the tree. I rounded the top right corner and that was it. Job's a good 'un.
Supplies
Stamps: Easy Events
Ink: Basic Black; Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango markers
Card: Whisper White
Other: Stamp-a-ma-jig, blender pen
As always, I'd be delighted to help answer any questions you might have about SU or order SU goodies for you. During April, if your order comes to £45 or more, you can choose a free set of designer paper.... and there are some real beauties to choose from. Click on the link in my side bar to start ogling!
Well, I am counting down the days until Sunday at the moment. I have given up chocolate for Lent and I sure cannot wait to scoff some Cadbury's. How wrong is an Easter egg breakfast? I used to have boiled eggs quite often when I was a child... I don't see much difference ;-p
Be sure to pop back tomorrow as I have something special lined up.... (and I'm not giving any clues!)
Thanks so much for visiting today,

Hey Baby!
I'm having a whale of a time playing with my new goodies. I love the fact that there are colour families - everything coordinates and it is so much easier to find that combination you're after. Here is a 'new baby' card made entirely out of my Starter Kit, as part of the CAS-ual Fridays 'Hey Baby' challenge.
Isn't this little duck cute?! I decided to paper piece him with designer paper to make him pop out more against the turquoise card. Having never really invested before in some quality sharp scissors, I'm relishing having my SU paper snips. They make it so easy. To make the circle, I drew around the bottom of a bowl. 100% Starter Kit material!
Supplies
Stamps: Easy Events
Ink: Basic Black
Card: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Paper: Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie designer patterned paper from the Brights stack
