I adore all leaf and flower stamp sets - a girl can never have too many, right?! So when I first set eyes on the beautiful two-step stamp set Gently Falling, it went on my 'must have' list.
Last month's challenge for the card swap group I'm in was to create a tag. Eeek! This is something I really struggle with. I think I can get a bit intimidated by all those gorgeous tags I see on other blogs and on Pinterest and then can't seem to think of anything original to do. To help, I decided on two stamp sets I wanted to use and a favourite colour combination to help get me started. Here's what I came up with in the end:
The background of the card is from a lovely paper collection called Natural Composition, and really it is more like card than paper. There are a whole host of lovely embossed designs and I went for the classic Fleur de Lys for this tag. I stamped my leaves onto some Naturals White cardstock ('cos it's got speckly bits!), first in Soft Suede and then in Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. The thrush is from Papaya Collage and is stamped in Early Espresso. All were carefully cut out with my paper snips and positioned above a length of Cherry Cobbler seam binding and some leftover flower trim from the last seasonal catalogue. I finished the tag with a scrap of First Edition paper, a vintage brad, and some crochet lace tied with linen thread.
Supplies
Stamps: Papaya Collage, Gently Falling
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze
Card: Naturals White
Paper: Natural Composition and First Edition Speciality Paper
Other: flower trim (retired), Cherry Cobbler seam binding, paper snips, Victoria crochet trim, vintage brad, linen thread, crop-a-dile
It's all go here at Furry Tale HQ as I'm preparing lots of materials for some children's work at church this weekend. Lollipop sticks, hot glue gun and.... Socks... who is very interested in what I'm doing... now what could possibly go wrong?! With that in mind...
Congratulations on making it to the weekend! Thanks for stopping by,

You certainly conquered that intimation with this fabulous tag, Victoria! I know what you mean, though. Some of the tags you see, some made by other friends, they just blow me away! Now you've made one to join the ranks of the others!! Enjoy the weekend! Hope you are feeling well! Hugs, Darnell
