Time for a Tipple

Sale-a-bration might be over but there's still lots to be excited about with Stampin' Up!  I have just placed an order for some rather lovely things from the spring/summer catalogue and I can't wait to share with you what I make over Easter.  If you haven't had a peek yet at this seasonal catalogue, drop me an email and I'll post a copy out to you.  If you just can't wait that long, click on the link on my sidebar to see a pdf copy instantly.

In the meantime, here is a Christmas card which I made with the fabulously fun Happy Hour stamp set. It contains a whole host of different tipples, with various exciting adornments and no fewer than five different sentiments.  I decided to stamp three different drinks in a line to play along with Crafty Hazelnut's '3 of something' Christmas challenge as well as her Extra 'anything goes' challenge.

Stamping the drinks required careful use of my stamp-a-ma-jig to get them all in a straight line.  I honestly don't know how I used to stamp without this handy tool.  I use it on almost every card now.  I coloured the stamps in with my marker pens and then adhered the white panel to some beautiful paper from the Be of Good Cheer collection, with the bottom edge punched with my Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch.  I stamped the greeting in Basic Black in the corner and finished off the card with three rhinestones.

Supplies
Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: marker pens in Basic Black, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and River Rock
Card: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Paper: Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper
Other: rhinestones, stamp-a-ma-jig

Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and prayers for my husband.  He has improved a little and we will know more after some more tests this week.

It's a tough choice to know what funny picture I should share with you today as I have amassed quite a collection over the past month or so, mostly because my friend Clare keeps posting them on facebook!  In the end, I chose this one for reasons of sheer hilarity.

Hope you are having a good weekend, safe and cosy inside out of the weather.

  7. Hi Victoria! I wrote a long comment on my Stupidphone at the game this morning, but wasn't sure it went through, don't see it ... just wanted to tell you that I didn't know you were back to more frequent blogging. I've enjoyed catching up with you, except for the part about hubs being ill. I'm so sorry! I've added him to my prayer list and hope that there are sunny skies ahead for both of you!

(Natch, I would be drawn mysteriously through cyberspace to your Happy Hour card!!)
