Christmas Ornament

This is the last of my Christmas creations, and the first card I'm sharing with you this year.  The beautiful ornaments from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set are available with matching dies which take away all the stress of cutting them out.  A quick Google search shows countless examples of how these stamps can be arranged to make lovely 3D ornaments.  Simpler versions of these can make lovely cards too though.

I stamped three ornaments in Raspberry Ripple, a pink so vibrant it almost looks red, scored each in half and then glued them together.  I glued them onto a die cut circle, added some patterned paper from the lovely collection Be of Good Cheer and secured some Cherry Cobbler seam binding vertically down the middle.  A seam binding bow finished the card.

Supplies
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Card: Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
Paper: Be of Good Cheery Designer Series Paper
Other: Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Big Shot, Simply Scored board, Picot Circles dies (non-SU)

It's getting closer to 'back to school' day, and no doubt Socks is not looking forward to the loss of his 24-hour slave.  Spot the difference between the following:

Thank you for your visit, and an especially big thank you if you are a follower or leave a comment - it means a lot :)

  1. Love the 3D ornament and fab vivid colours. And Socks + the keyboard cat is a great pairing... I'm assuming you've seen the youtube video Cat vs Printer - the translation (F-word warning for the faint of heart...)

  5. I know what you mean Victoria - in the excitement of those wonderful 3D decorations it's easy to forget that these stamps and dies make brilliant cards like yours. I love the traditional colours of this and that sparky designer paper. I'm amused by Socks - is he trying the old 'Give me the tuna and you can have your book back' trick?! Vicky x

  8. You're so right about that lovely die....looks as if it could be very versatile, but I really do like it on your pretty card. Nice colour combo, too.
Socks looks as if you've been runnin' him ragged, lol.

Your card is fabulous - love the 3D look.

Ha ha ha - Socks reminds me so much of Winston who too will soon lose his 24 hour slave.
