What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 168

Sadly what's mostly on my workdesk at the moment is Schemes of Work that I'm getting my head around for the start of term in a week and a half, and I doubt that any of you are particularly bothered about seeing those!  However, I'm also gutting an old diary I found.  It is jam-packed full of Wainwright drawings, which I'm going to recycle on cards.

I did warn you; nothing too exciting here today.  I did get a certain delivery of a couple of sneaky peek items yesterday from the new catalogue so I'm determined to crack open an ink pad later this afternoon. Until then, my planning is beckoning...

Pop along to Julia's for the start of blogland's nosiest hops.  Looking forward to spying on your workdesk soon!

  15. I LOVE Wainwright's pen and ink drawings - he was a master of sketching a landscape in just a few strokes. I've always loved artwork like that whether it's a map or a blueprint or diagrams. Which is odd given how much I love colour!!
Look forward to seeing what you do with it!

  16. What a great use of your old diary! I scored a teensy flower journal once. One side was the wee picutre and the other was a descrition and name of the plant. Always have planned to use them on cards too!.

  29. Oh Victoria, we all have to juggle the nasty stuff in order to get to the good stuff...and play! I hope you manage to do that soon because the

  32. I love Wainwright's drawings, Victoria. We used to have hols in the Lake District when we were growing up and Mum and Dad had all the books, and would refer to them avidly! Such detail. We loved the hand-written text of the books, which were so personal and full of interest, and so much more than an average guide book. Your picture brought back some happy memories!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I'm really enjoying my downsizing (in between dashing about because my Dad's now in hospital, unfortunately, and Mum is needing a lot of attention). As for the "noun" and "verb," - the pot I keep my brushes in is an old Smash instant mashed potato pot which I STILL haven't got round to altering - "Smash" in this case is a name (noun) and not an instruction to "Smash" anything (verb) lol lol!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
