Quoth the Peacock, "Evermore"

Sorry about the title, it was as witty as I could muster on a Monday morning!  I am about to start the epic task of cleaning out my kitchen cupboards and cleaning my oven, tasks I have been putting off for a good month now.  Before I disappear into a haze of cleaning fumes, I'm popping in with a quick card for this week's Less is More colour challenge of 'blue and green', which, as Chrissie and Mandi point out, are quite tricky colours to combine.  I hope you'll let me off for including an ickle bit of yellow; the photo told me to do it.

I printed the sentiment (in Edwardian Script) in blue and then used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position the quill where I wanted it.  I coloured the quill in Garden Green, a hint of Wild Wasabi around the top, a bit of More Mustard and then the centre in Tempting Turquoise with a few dots of Pacific Point.  So lots of blues and greens!  This panel was then popped up on dimensionals onto more white card.  Easy.

Supplies
Stamps: Nature's Nest
Ink: marker pens in Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, More Mustard, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point
Card: Whisper White
Other: computer sentiment, stamp-a-ma-jig

I've had a lovely weekend visiting my family, although driving home through the thunderstorms was awful.  I arrived home to find a husband who missed me, a cat who missed me and a craft desk which missed me.  Nice to know I play an important role in our house!

I'm glad you liked my emergency chocolate card from Friday.  Today's picture shows another cat in our house (yes, I have more than Socks... sort of...) indulging in one of life's luxuries:

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm slowly catching up on the weekend's commenting, so I should be popping round to see you soon!

Your card today is simply beautiful--the perfect blue and green combination. Thank you so much for your visits this weekend! And I'm glad you made it safely home in the storm. Hugs to you dearest!
