Here is what I made:
using the line flowers - emboss - ribbon from the Bingo card below.
I stamped two of the flower images in Bravo Burgundy onto Whisper White card and then coloured them in using more Bravo Burgundy and my aquapainter. I cut them out and added pearls onto the stamens. The main panel of the card was run through my BigShot with my ever-favourite lattice embossing folder and mounted onto Bravo Burgundy. The horizontal panel as punched out and then Whisper White organza ribbon was layered on top, before the flowers were popped on top on dimensionals.
Supplies
Stamps: Everything Eleanor
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Card: Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy
Other: Whisper White organza ribbon, pearls, lattice embossing folder, Big Shot, aquapainter, Leafy Lace border punch (non-SU)
We can't wait to see what you come up with for our second bingo challenge, so hop over to the ATS blog to check the Design Team's inspiration and then show us what you've got!
You'll be pleased to know I survived cleaning my kitchen out. I loathe doing it, but it's a nice to know that every cupboard is spotless and that my oven is sparkling! With my 'kitchen fairy' duties fresh in my mind, here is today's cat picture:
I know a lot of you like little updates about Socks, the lovely furball in my life. Over the past week he's not been very well and the vet believes he is a carrier of the calicivirus. We've only just found out because he's had a flare-up with painful mouth ulcers and now constant sneezing. He's on antibiotics and has had some injections, but he's not himself at all at the moment, so if you could spare a thought for him, that'd be lovely. Our pets are part of the family, aren't they?
Thanks as ever for visiting,
Wow, a stunner of a card Victoria! So beautifully fresh and vibrant - love the embossing folder too.
ReplyDeleteGreat cat piccie - but am sad to hear Socks isn't well - no wonder you said you'd had a much needed smile at Warren yesterday ::( As you say, our pets are very special family members. Hope the drugs help him to perk up.
Hugs, Di xx
Another beautifully simple card! it's refreshing to see them without 10 lbs. of embellishments! ha ha I know that is the "style" right now, but I struggle trying to decide how to get all that stuff on my cards & usually go for the simple look. Love the kittley bowl too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card there Victoria. Very clean and just beautiful. Do you want to be a Kitchen Fairy for me now? I will do you some cakies too, before you clean of course!
ReplyDeletePoor Socks. Dobby sends a lick! Yes our pets are family! xx
Gorgeous card hun, really pretty. Sorry little Socks isn't well - sending him big furry hugs and get well wishes Sxxx
ReplyDeleteYou've made those flowers look amazing Victoria! So sorry to hear that lovely Socks isn't well and will certainly be thinking of you all. Hugs, Vicky x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Victoria. The flowers are gorgeous and love the colours. Sue x
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria, as you probably know, the lattice folder is my favourite too and I always have a soft spot for anyone that uses it ;). I love your CAS design and the flowers, ribbon and colours you have used just compliment each other beautifully.
ReplyDeleteNow, from one pet owner to another. I have your puddy tat in my thoughts. I have a dog, cat and about 15 chooks. I speak to all of them like they are humans and even use the word 'please' most of the time lol. I nearly lost my dog to a paralysis tick before he was even 1 year old and I nursed him back to health like he is my child. Lots of love and kisses to Socks xx
This is beautiful Victoria, I love the embossed background and your flowers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear Socks is unwell, I hate it when any of our animals are poorly, I hope the antibiotics soon begin to help.

ReplyDeleteAww, poor little Socks . . . please give him a gentle get well stroke from me.

Simply gorgeous card Victoria. Love the bold burgundy colour of those flowers. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBig cuddles for Socks! Hope he feels better soon. Absolutely our pets are part of the family. I know ours wouldn't be the same without our gorgeous Lilli the dog.
Ah sorry to hear that socks is unwell and hope he is on the mend soon. Bailey and Rosy send warm wishes even though socks is a cat they say that they are not prejudiced in any way ! Love this gorgeous CAS card and the flowers are beautiful. You fussy cutters make me sick though with your steady hands and your ability to concentrate something I am afraid I do not have.

Fabulous flowers Victoria from my favourite stamp set! Lovely in burgundy too. Hope Socks gets better soon and back to his usual self:) we've always had cats for the last 30 years but lost our last two in the past 9 months. They were both rescue kittens and lived till the age of 19, so not bad going eh?

ReplyDeleteLove, love your card. CAS cards are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteKitty prayer for Socks. :(
Gorgeous card Victoria - love those flowers from the EE set......they look gorgeous in Burgundy. Sorry to hear about poor Socks - wishing him and you (owners worry so much eh?) better. We recently lost our remaining cat Fern recently after 17 years and the house seems so empty. Positive thoughts winging their way from a not so sunny (more soggy) Somerset.
