WOYWW? It's Wednesday Again!

No cat on my desk today, at least for the moment, but instead the start of a new layout.  This will be my fifth ever layout, not that I'm counting.  Yes, I'm a newbie scrapper but I'm loving it!  In fact, I've decided that we need to live much more interesting lives just so I have more things to scrap about!

Important things on my desk to note are: my lovely SU marker pens and my ink pad tower (brilliant storage for the crafting corner of a dining room), and my 'cat with fish' mug.  I have a range of cat mugs, I'm just one of them, ha ha!

Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday to everyone and I look forward to noseying at your workspace soon!  It all starts with Julia at The Stamping Ground if you fancy taking part for the first time!

  4. Get you scrapping! Well done and welcome to your next slippery slope!! You already have an interesting life, believe me, and if you document the little things, they will be great reminders...scrapping the routines and contents of your handbag aren't as silly as they sound!!

  5. Gosh my life is so boring I definitely wouldn't have anything to scrap about lol..... maybe if we ever get grandchildren that may change.
Lovely to see your tidy desk.

  11. Hi Victoria - welcome to scrapbooking!! Your post reminded me of a fab quote I found the other day:

Birth certificates show when you were born
Death certificates show when you died
Scrapbooks show that you really lived. Unknown

Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 39

  15. How is your desk soo neat and tidy when you are in the middle of a layout? Mine is in such a mess right now and I daren't show it as Sandra will be highly critical of it!! I too am in the middle of a layout!

  18. You're scrapping like a pro, Victoria! BTW, my UFO box is full of UnFinished Objects. It's stamped pieces that either didn't make it on a card or have been salvaged from a card that was tossed for one reason or another. Thanks so much for all your kind comments.

  20. Your desk is so nice and neat today! It's so fun when you are a creative scrapper, because you do think that way! I'll be out and about doing something, and thinking how I can't wait to scrap or smash or blog about it. We just can't help it. Crafty hugs to you!

  22. Yay for scrapbooking!! The more you get into it, the more you'll realize that you don't need anything special to happen in order to build a page. You'll be scrapping your cat, your workspace, your house, your markers...you name it!! It gets addicting!

    GREAT kitty mug!!

  24. Beautiful desk! You are set up perfectly for all your fab layouts and cards. You and the hubs will do lots of things over time to scrap about. Now I don't mean fighting, not that kind of scrapping about with each other, knock off any of that!

Thanks for coming by to visit me earlier. Glad you liked your card! Next time I'll make you a kitty-cat card which will be more apropo!

Loved your idea, BTW, of inserting Darnellisms in my journals. It's sounds just the ticket! All those lovely inspirational poems and then one or two, "Get off your arse and stop writing in this dumb book and go make your dream happen!" Oh, my. It could be bad.

Have a great week! Darnell #116 (my age, too!)

  26. I'd have a mad-panic-clean-up-time if I ever was tempted to join in....you are definitely a neat-freak...in the nicest way, of course...haaaa!
It's the looooongest time since I scrapped anything....realised that 3 grandbabies have been born since I last did a layout....how bad is that??

  27. I'm sorry my sun isn't your sun, but at least your desk is colourful and creative. I'm not a scrapper, but I love the idea of remembering fleeting moments that seem small but are magical. Have fun and thanks for visiting.

    cheers, rachel #16

  28. Hi Victoria, loving my first WOYWW - and I must say you have a very tidy W there! Not really a scrapper either - it's what my sister-in-law does, and it's mainly via her and being press-ganged into helping out with my mother's 70th birthday album that I've ended up here at all - but I veered almost immediately away from the layouts. I expect I may make my way back round in the end... Right, more nosiness...

  33. That's one tidy organised space there Victoria,
So happy to hear you're enjoying scrapping, but if you want any more practice (not that you need any) I've got boxes and boxes of material from 23 years of expat life which I'm supposed to be scapping at some stage. :$
I could do with an extra hand.

  39. I am so jealous of the tidiness of your desk, how do you do it? What I'd really like to know is where do you keep all of your stamps? That's what I struggle with stamp storage!!
    Any tips gratefully received!
