Nurse Owl

I haven't touched my owl punch for a whole five minutes so I decided to have a go at making one of the nurse owls I've seen on the inter web (type in punch art into google and you will be amazed at the sorts of things you see!).  It was so easy to do:

I punched and assembled the owl as normal, and punched an extra front out of white, turned it upside down and made into a nurse's hat.  The little cross is one of the tiny Itty Bitty Shapes punches.  Clever or what?!

Supplies
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Card: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White, Blushing Bride
Paper: Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Other: Big Shot, circle die, Owl Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punches

I said I might throw in the odd dog picture into the cat mix, so today's photo is a cross over.  It does at least mention a dog!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

  4. Victoria, I dearly love this nurse owl!! If only I could jump the pond and quickly come over to your house for a fun sewing and crafting day! Thank you for visiting my sewing table, though. You have inspired me to bake some bread too--I'm going to make my loaves tomorrow. I promise to take pictures. Have a wonderful day dearest. Sandy Leigh

  11. Oh this is awesome hun!!! I love it. Never knew you could do so much with just one punch (must admit I did look long and hard at this one in the catalogue!). You know that card could almost be felt, it looks lovely and textured. Big hugs Clare xxx

  13. You've convinced me, Victoria, I need this owl punch! So much for telling myself that owls are scary and creepy. This is doggone cute! And the cat in the mailbox is hilarious. I can imagine the surprise that mailman got. I'll be the kitty didn't put the flag up either.
