Addicted to Stamps First Challenge!

Today is exciting!  It sees the launch of a brand new challenge blog called Addicted to Stamps, and in a nutshell, it is all the challenges I like best!  I'm delighted to be on the Design Team and we're kicking off with 'make your mark'.  Quite simply, all you have to do is create a project in which you use your markers, be they SU, Copics, ProMarkers, whatever.  You might be colouring in an image or colouring in stamps directly.  We would love to see your work!

Here's the card that I have made for our first challenge:

I decided to do a spot of colouring, mainly because I don't do a lot of it, so I picked out the colours that are on the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper I used.  I love that SU takes so much time to make sure that their products coordinate perfectly!  The base is made from Baja Breeze, while the stamped images are on Whisper White.  I coloured them in partly by picking up the ink with my blender pen and partly by direct-to-page colouring.  As always, I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment where I wanted it before stamping.  I have no idea how I used to manage without this little tool.  There were certainly a few more binned card efforts!  Some pearls finish off the card.

Supplies
Stamps: Bordering on Romance, Tea Shoppe (sentiment)
Ink: Basic Black, marker pens in Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Blushing Bride, Regal Rose
Card: Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Paper: Twitterpated Designer Series Patterned Paper
Other: blender pen, stamp-a-ma-jig, pearls, Simply Scored board

As always, if any of these supplies have caught your eye, please do not hesitate to get in touch by phone on 07977 141605 or email.  I will be delighted to assist you with your crafty makes and place a SU order for you.

What's even more exciting about this is that we're also going to have a monthly challenge purely for scrapbooking layouts, which will run alongside our weekly card challenges.  So in a few minutes, another scheduled post will pop up from me with this month's layout.  Do come and have a look even if you are not a scrapbooker - most of the DT aren't avid scrapbookers but we thought it would be a brilliant opportunity to share our journey with you (and on a personal note, it's going to encourage me to scrapbook more regularly!)

Thanks so much for visiting and can't wait to see your entry!  See you in a minute!

  18. Hi Victoria! I love this card!!! It's so beautiful. I had thought of not making cards anymore (sell them at a crafts fair) but a woman that has bought from me in the past asked if I have any in stock. Plus, the local Hallmark store closed so it might be a good time to start making again. I go for the simple ones though....
    Love this.

    Hugs,
    Kay
