I have another new favourite stamp set to show you today. Who are we kidding? They are all my new favourite stamp sets! Today's is a gorgeous floral two-step stamp set. SU produce a number of two-step sets where you first stamp a solid block of the image in a lighter colour and you then overstamp with a more detailed image in a darker colour. The results are sensational! Come and have a look:
The flowers were first stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe, one of the lovely new in-colours, and then overstamped with Calypso Coral, which is now in our regular colour families. The leaves were stamped first in Pear Pizzazz, again, an old in-colour that has returned to join the family, and then again in Wild Wasabi. The leaves were carefully stamped onto the Whisper White card using my stamp-a-ma-jig for careful positioning, while the blooms were stamped onto scrap card and then cut out before mounting on some dimensionals. A stamp-a-ma-jig really is an essential tool for this card, whether or not you are using wood mount stamps, as it helps get those images lined up exactly.
The greeting I added is from the lovely Trust God set, and the whole thing is mounted on Calypso Coral card. There are another couple of blooms stamped on the inside of the card to finish it off nicely.
Supplies
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Trust God
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi
Card: Whisper White, Calypso Coral
Other: stamp-a-ma-jig
Quite a short supply list today but it's a card that really packs a punch, I think. And it's three in a row for the Playground as I used up some more snippets making this. I think this means I get an extra go on the slide :) I'm also going to take this over for a play at Addicted to CAS where the codeword is 'Summer'.
I couldn't stop chuckling with today's feline. Hope it makes you smile too!
Thanks, as always, for your visit,
A beautiful and stunning card Victoria.
