A post at midnight on Wednesday can only mean one thing... yes, it's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps! This week, it's Addicted to... Clean and Simple, so anything CAS goes! If you'd asked me just a few months ago to make a clean and simple card, I'd have panicked beyond belief. But now I just take it in my stride. I have learned so much from having a go at CAS... card layout, design, colours... so why not challenge yourself if this isn't your normal cup of tea? And if it is, well, you can show us all how it's done!
Here's my card:
It was ever so straightforward to make. The base is Riding Hood Red, a paler red with a vague hint of pink in it, I think. I rounded the corners on the bottom of this and my layer of Whisper White. I ran the white card through my Big Shot with my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and attached a strip of Twitterpated paper. All that was left to do was arrange these pretty butterflies and add a few rhinestones to finish.
Supplies
Card: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Paper: Twitterpated Designer Series Paper
Other: Embosslits Beautiful Wings, BigShot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, rhinestones

So many of you like the cat pictures I have started posting thanks to my husband's new love with Pinterest that I'm going to carry on with them for the time being. I might even throw in the odd picture of a dog (don't tell Socks!) for you dog lovers out there! Today's cat picture is a funny cartoon mapping the kitty brain:

Thank you so much for visiting me today - I'll be back later with a sneaky peek at my work desk!
This is stunning. Simple & clean lines & a bright, bold touch of color. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Victoria! The best method I know for filling my trash can is to try making CAS cards. To date everyone has been tossed in there. Can't deal with the frustration. :)
