Monochrome and Red Berries

I have a couple more Christmas cards to share today.  I have been wondering about using my aqua painter to paint with black, as usually I only use it with colour, so I decided to join in the monochrome colour challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge.

Then I thought the same stamp would look great in black and white with the berries done in red so they pop out, so I pulled out my Poppy Parade pen and made this using the Dynamic Duos colour combination.

Supplies
Stamps: Beautiful Season
Ink: Basic Black, marker pens in Basic Black and Poppy Parade
Card: Basic Black, Whisper White, Poppy Parade
Other: aqua painter, stamp-a-ma-jig (for the inserts), 5/8" Whisper White satin ribbon

Only a week left of the fantastic free brads and ribbon offer, so if you've yet to make your mind up about them or the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment papers, check out the details here!

I have a very literary cat to share today:

I'm having a blow-the-housework craft-my-heart-away day today... Got to make the most of my last six weeks of unemployment before I'm back in the classroom!  Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I do love both of these.....that's a very pretty image......but the second one reminds me of a set of cards that my Mam had when I was about 8 years old. She'd won them at Bingo, but liked them so much she wouldn't send them to anybody...haaa!
Hmmmmmm.....I suppose I must be saying that these are very "vintage" looking.....oh, I'm so ooooold!
