Competition Time!

I thought it would be fun to celebrate my return to regular blogging and crafting by running a little competition, given that you've put up with my terrible absenteeism.  Crafting (or rather spending on crafting) is one of two vices I have... the other is chocolate.  Confectionary companies often run competitions where you have to complete the sentence, like "I love curly wurlies because..." (how do you spell the plural of curly wurly?!)

Your mission therefore, should you choose to accept it, is to complete the sentence "I love crafting because..." in 25 words or fewer.

I will select two winners: one at random and the one who makes Mr Furry Tale, Socks, mini bump and me laugh the most!  I will post to anywhere in the world and the prize packages will each contain a retired stamp set, an ample selection of strokable 6" papers, some ribbon and buttons, and some chocolate.

To keep things original and not to hamper any creative thoughts (you know what Di's like with Less is More challenges -- imagine what she'll be like with this if she spots that someone has put something she was going to put!!), I won't publish any comments on this post until the deadline of next Saturday 24th August, so your secret confessions will be safe with me until then!

So get your thinking caps on and tell me why you really love crafting!  All this talk of missions has made me remember this picture:

Have fun, creative cats!

  1. I love crafting because it makes me happy and if my house is clean and tidy then you know my mojo is missing!

  2. You are just adorable, you know that, Victoria?! I'm not entering b/c I would say the PREZACT same thing as Di (great idea to hide the comments, BTW!) and b/c, as you know, I'm a greedy piglet person who spends most of my Mister's hard-earned money on NBUS until it's coming out my piggy ears! Have fun! I can't wait to read all the comments when they go live and see the winning entry!!

(If I did enter it would prolly say, "b/c it keeps me off the streets and out of the bars" or something equally and totally inapporpirate!!)

  3. I love crafting because it's a bonding time for me & my cat! He hides the stamps, I find them. We are both happy!

  4. I love crafting because it opened up a whole new area of my brain, and also it keeps my fingers off the chocolates.

Thanks so much for a lovely idea for a giveaway challenge - and for another storming cat picture!

  5. Hi Victoria,Thank you for the chance to win such lovely things :)

Ok then,...I love crafting because...."It makes me happy-it's cheaper than therapy-and has less calories than a choccy binge"!!

    Tee hee! Nessa xx

  6. I never could write an essay to be short, I always went over by about 100 words, a chatter box my teachers called me - somethings never change lol.

    I love crafting because …

Unlike art there are no rules about crafting the ‘right’ way and everyone can create.
If you work hard you can become the artist you always wanted to be.

That is why I love crafting Victoria - I have sent my inner artist free!

Have a great weekend Karen xx

Thank you for your comment. Have a lovely day!
