Hi everyone,
Sorry for yet another gap in blogging. We've had a lot of exam deadlines at school which have been keeping me busy. I've been off work the past couple of days feeling rather grotty but I've been a bit brighter this afternoon so thought I'd pop on here to share the quilt that Mr Furry Tale made for our nephew's first birthday on the 1st May.
He spotted the fabric last year and thought it would be a great first quilting project for him to tackle. The fabric has lots of different animals on, all holding their country's flag, and given that Jacob was born in the year of the London 2012 Olympics, we decided it would be a great basis for a cot-sized quilt. Here is the quilt laid out:
And a close-up with Mr Furry Tale himself so you can see some of the animals:
Isn't it smashing?! Needless to say, he's rather pleased with it and is looking forward to having a go at another... though he intends on having a break first!
In keeping with talk of cots, quilts and babies, today's picture is a cutie:
Thanks for stopping by to see my husband's handiwork!
Awesome job! Tell Mr FT that he should be justly proud of his handiwork! His mitred corners are particularly fetching :)

You'll make him blush taking about his mitred corners like that!!
DeleteHi, Victoria! What a delightful quilt.....love the fabrics....and what a very talented hubster you have! Sorry you're not feelin' too good...blame it on the late spring, lol....get better, soon. x
ReplyDeleteWow! This is stunning Victoria, what a clever husband you have.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo today, it reminds me of our dog when we had kittens in the house - they would all lay on him and he would lie so still for them.
I hope you soon feel better.
