Prayer

Hi all, sorry it's been a while again.  Various things going on at home.  I won't go into the details... but I would appreciate prayer for my husband's health at the moment.

Here is a quick card that I made using the lovely single stamp Praying Hands.  I was delighted to see a nice choice of Christian stamps in this year's Stampin' Up catalogue as they can be quite tricky to get hold of in the UK.  The sentiment is part of one from A Word For You.  Isn't the flourishing font elegant?  I picked out the part I wanted with my Early Espresso marker and stamped it beneath my hands image, placing it where I wanted it with my stamp-a-ma-jig.

Supplies
Stamps: Praying Hands, A Word For You
Ink: Soft Suede, Early Espresso marker pen
Card: Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso
Paper: Soft Suede from the Neutrals stack
Other: stamp-a-ma-jig

Sale-a-bration is still continuing in style so if you're tempted by all those lovely freebies you could earn, get in touch!

I'd like to enter this into Word Art Wednesday's challenge... it has been way too long since I entered a challenge!

For today's picture I thought I'd share a particularly comfy-looking kitty:

It reminds me of the poem 'Cats Sleep Anywhere' that I had to learn off by heart at primary school.  I can still recite it to this day!

Have a good evening/day everyone and thanks so much for visiting,

  1. Sending hugs and positive thoughts to the pair of you. I know, as the partner of someone who underwent a quad heart bypass what a strain it is on the person who is left trying to keep normality going for the rest of the family. My husband recovered and is ok now...but it takes a toll. So you take care, keep as strong as you can and if you need to shout at someone, then do it at me........

  2. Hi Victoria, sorry to hear about your husband. As you know, we bloggers are good at giving support, prayers and positive thought - and mine come to you and your husband tenfold.

The Praying Hands are beautiful - I have a Praying Hands plaque here that was bought by my Dad for my Mum, over 50 years ago when we lived in Germany - and of course I treasure it. This is the story behind the original painting : http://www.moytura.com/reflections/prayinghands.htm - it's very moving.

Will be scouting through the SU catalogue - stand by :))

Hugs, and positive thoughts, Di xxx

  21. Victoria, this is a beautiful card, and reminded me I don't have this stamp yet. It's hard to find appropriate religious themed stamps, and this one is something I'd like to have. You made a stunning card with it, and until I read the specs, thought it had been done in gold. Really like it in the soft suede. Hope your hubby's health is much improved by the time I'm leaving this comment (I'm behind in blog visits again!). Loved your little kitty hanging in the cage. Some days I feel exactly like that! Thanks for the smile and sharing the lovely card, and truly hope your husband is all better now. Hugs.
