I used the lovely aqua, tan and cream colours from the current CR84FN challenge, stamping two of the blooms in Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise, adding the centres stamped in Crumb Cake. Punching the flowers out is a doddle with this punch. I cut out some stems from a scrap of Old Olive, securing them in my vase. I made my vase by die cutting a circle of paper vellum and Pool Party card, then chopping off the top and bottom. I fastened the top bit back on to look a bit like the lip of the vase. All that was left to do was ground the vase so it wasn't floating off into free space. This card does depart from the original sketch a little but the five focal points are still there!
Here's the sketch again in case you missed last week's post:
Supplies
Stamps: Mixed Bunch
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Card: hammered base card (non-SU), Pool Party, Old Olive, paper vellum
Other: Mixed Bunch punch, circle dies and BigShot
Mixed Bunch and the punch are only available until the end of August when the Summer Mini catalogue ends so don't delay if you are tempted! Remember too that all orders of £60 or more this month qualify for a completely free stamp set (Reason to Smile) which you can choose in either wood or clear mount.
