Another quick card from me today, using up some snippets from the lovely Everyday Enchantment papers. This is so I can play in the Snippets Playground with Di and Co. I have toffees this week, girls!
Supplies
Stamps: Apothecary Art
Ink: Basic Black
Card: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Paper: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper
Other: linen thread, stamp-a-ma-jig, Simply Scored board
I do like the card but it only uses three tiny squares of snippets. At this rate, it's going to take me years to get through my snippets box. In fact, I often think I make more snippets using up my snippets than I get stuck on a card. Ah well!
Hope you've had a lovely weekend! Here's a nice uplifting cat picture to round off your Sunday:
Thank you so much for visiting,
Hi Victoria!
ReplyDeleteI love your simple little snippet card! If you haven't joined in on the snippet playground with Di you should! I keep going back and forth about making cards - it's definitely the simple ones that I make and enjoy. I have a friend (who I met on-line) that we exchange ATCs and her cards are over the moon beautiful. With lots of layers and flowers.
Your comment on my project pinterest post made me laugh. I just can't help myself when it comes to pinning!!! haaaa. I started following you there too.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
Hugs,
Kay

ReplyDeleteI am with Di...my snippets are breeding too! And my friend in US actually sent some of hers to me too! Didn't know whether to be affronted or chuffed! LOL! I wonder if they will get on ok with my snippets or will they fight?!!

ReplyDeleteLovely card, Victoria, and I adore your kitty pictures! The Schrodinger one made me roar with laughter and I did a google image search for more, and there were lots of fun ones!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, and for your nice comment. Yes, do give zentangle a go - but I warn you it's highly addictive! Visit the Tangle Patterns website (link in my sidebar) for step by step instructions for pretty well every pattern ever drawn, I think! Also the official zentangle site zentangle.com is worth a visit - and of course Youtube has loads of brilliant videos. Don't blame me if your family complains they're being neglected after this lol!!
Thanks for your good wishes for Shoshi's Blog Shop - I'm hoping it goes well!

PS Sorry Victoria - just spotted your second comment! I'm so glad you like the card I made - I enjoyed working with the alcohol inks, and I think they work very well on acetate. I am sure his widow will like it - Fiddler was something her husband and I shared, and whenever I see the film or any reference to it, I always think of him!
