Red, white and blue is the patriotic colour choice over at Less is More this week and I've had a fab time playing with my new Pedal Presents stamp set. I think it's my new favourite. At least until I open my next set...
In fact I had so much fun I made three different ones - all one-layer - with the various basket combinations. Come and have a look:
I think the first one's my favourite and I definitely prefer a shiny red bike to a shiny blue bike! They were very straightforward to make: simple stamping and colouring in really. Most of the colour was added direct to card, but for some bits I picked up the ink with my blender pen to soften it. I grounded the last two with a Crumb Cake marker.
Supplies
Stamps: Pedal Presents (hostess set from the Summer Mini)
Ink: Basic Black, marker pens in Real Red, Poppy Parade, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey
Card: Whisper White
Other: white gelly roll marker, stamp-a-ma-jig
If these supplies or any others have caught your eye, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me by email or by phone on 07977 141605. I'd be delighted to place an order for you and have goodies delivered directly to your address in the UK.
As well as Less is More, I'd also like to enter these into the 'Cool Britannia' challenge over at Moving Along With The Times.
If you're in the UK, I hope you're having a lovely bank holiday weekend. We are having a relaxing day today after a busy Saturday. We had a barbecue in our garden for our church and we had 25 people come. It was fantastic fun but hard work too. We have a cream tea tomorrow afternoon too and I have been very busy researching and preparing a display on Queen Elizabeth's 60 years which has been fascinating. I really do have a renewed appreciation for her. I'm so glad it's all done ready now though as I can put my feet up a bit!
Thank you for visiting - do pop back again soon!
WOW! Fab cards - and how different your selection looks from entry 92 using the same image - great stuff, I really like this bicycle

ReplyDeleteHi Victoria, what a wonderful card. Great stamp and your colouring is fab!
ReplyDeleteHi Victoria...what fabulous card and I love that stamp..
ReplyDeleteAnne
Hello lovely!. Wow I really love these cards and that Stampin Up stamp set is just gorgeous. Such simple card designs but so effective that is all that you need. Love the colour combo's you have used. Please do not think I am not going to order some goodies from you Victoria but it has been a bit of a tight few weeks for me. As soon as I have some spare cash I will be ordering hunny, really liking this stamp set lol!. Must be like Christmas everytime the postie comes with a package!. Glad you have had a super weekend hun, even if it was exhausting. Make sure you get a rest the next couple of days. And how is Mr.Socks? well I hope. Bert & Simone had to have their booster's this week (yep, nearly £90!)so they have been a bit sorry for themselves. Bert is grumpy today as the guinea piggies went home last night and he adored them. Sam the squirrel went too but he had plenty of hugs before he went. You take care lovely and look forward to seeing your next creations. Big hugs Clare xxx
ReplyDeleteDon't be daft, Clare!! You know I would never pressure you into ordering! It certainly is like Christmas. I love it when the UPS man comes a-knocking! Poor Bert and Simone having had their boosters. Funnily enough, Socks had his just last week. He slept for most of a day but then was friendly enough. We have to give him toothpaste now which is causing some fun moments (ahem)... but we have developed a system where we mash it on his paw and then he licks it off. First few times we did he just flicked it straight off, cheeky beggar! Talk soon xx
DeleteOh Victoria you did make me laugh about Socks with the toothpaste!!!. Bert had to go on that as he kept getting Gingivitus. He got so stroppy and he kept flicking his paw and the brown paste used to be all over the paintwork lol!. I even tried putting it on Simone's paw so he knew she could have it too but she ended up wetting herself where she got so distressed!. Glad Mr.Socks was ok after his booster bless him.
DeleteOh hun a big big congratulations on coming top 3 at MAWTT for these gorgeous cards. Still can't decide which one is my favourite so I pick them all!!!. Big hugs Clare, Bert & Simone xxx

What a great stamp! With your imagination and creativity it also seems that there are endless possibilities with this stamp. It's REALLY hard to pick a favorite, but I really like the blue one with the bird and birthday cake. But all the cards are great for different occasions. Your cards are lovely!

ReplyDeleteVictoria, these are absolutely darling!!! LOVE them--and one layer?! INCREDIBLE!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe bikes and their embellies are just adorable! I think my fav is the blue one because that stinkin' cute bird looks TOTALLY like she is driving that bike! I have a bike stamp from Tim Holtz (which you'll see on tomorrow's post as a matter of fact; I just finished it) and will be CASEing your ideas from these cards, so thank you for the inspiration!
