I wanted a Christmas stamp set so I could join in with a few Christmas challenges, but my heart sank when I read that this week's 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown challenge was glitter. I hate glitter! It goes everywhere and totally stresses me out. However, I can just about cope with Stickles so I hope that's enough! And I also wanted to join in my new blogland friend Sandra's Rudolph Day challenge... and then I read that she wants us to make SIX cards this time! Fortunately I don't have to make them standing on my head though, which was a relief! So after a few hours in the crafting corner this afternoon, here are my creations:
The images were all done in the same way. I coloured in the stamp with my marker pens, stamped and then added a little more colour to the leaves and bird with my aqua painter. I added red glitter to the berries and a little clear glitter to the leaves. Add some beautiful Cherry Cobbler seam binding, a sentiment, a little bit of layering and voilà six cards were born. There are two of each type.
Just to prove I made six or Sandra will tell me off:
Supplies
Stamps: Beautiful Season

As always, if any of these supplies have caught your eye, please do not hesitate to get in touch by phone on 07977 141605 or email. I will be delighted to assist you with your crafty makes and place a SU order for you.
Do make sure you pop back to visit tomorrow as it's our wedding anniversary, one of the three annual occasions my husband makes a card, so it will be fun to see what he's made me!
Thank you so much for your support on my SU venture thus far - and thanks for stopping by today,
Wow, every one is beautiful, but the one with the red paper behind really pops for me....and what a gorgeous stamp! I know what you mean about glitter....I love the look, but then walk around wearing it for the rest of the day...haaa! Sparkly Mod Podge works better for me....paste it on, and it dries quickly and without mess...easy-peasy!
ReplyDeleteIt's my wedding anniversary on Thursday....June brides rule!!

really beautiful cards Victoria. i really must get back to making some xmas cards but i just can't face them for some reason right now! i've loads loose glitter but, like you, hate the mess it makes! me and my dog sparkle for days after i've used it Karen x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Victoria! I'm with you. I ADORE Stickles, but hate using glitter. I end up wearing it all day & that is always when the cat decides to swish his tail over whatever I've just glittered so we BOTH end up wearing it! Boy cats with glitter are not "cool" cats! Beautiful stamp too!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Wishing you a happy anniversary tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous, Victoria! LOVE the traditional colors, and you've stamped them so perfectly!!! Thanks for joining us at 52CCT! :)
