I was fortunate to be chosen as the January winner over at Make My Monday, which means that I get to be a guest designer with them this month. What a privilege! This week's challenge is Spring Flowers so I rooted through 'Greenhouse Garden' which came as part of my Starter Kit to find a bloom that could work as a spring flower. In the end, I opted for the smallest because I think it looks like a primrose.
I wanted to have a go at creating a small paper handbag which could fit a chocolate or too in as a gift - no chocolate for me until Lent is out :-( Here is what I came up with:
I'm going to write a step-by-step tutorial for this handbag in the next few days, if you want to make one yourself. It's not that difficult once you've got your head around where to score.
Supplies
Stamps: Greenhouse Garden
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist
Card: Daffodil Delight
Paper: Pacific Point from the Brights Designer Patterned Paper stack
Other: Whisper White ribbon
I made a little 'get well' card to go with it, though you'd probably have to swap the chocolates for grapes!
What spring flowers have you got hiding in your stash? Hop over to Make My Monday for some inspiration and to enter your creation!
