The card is pretty simple but I was cutting it fine with submitting. I used a Wild Rose Studio stamp with brushed corduroy distress ink. The paper is an old sheet of K&Co that I've had around for ages and haven't dared to use because I love maps! The stamps on the suitcase are from a Creative Expressions stamp set.
As last week, the Daring Cardmakers (http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/) challenge is sponsored by Crimson Cloud (www.crimsoncloud.co.uk). I am sitting on my hands not to order anything yet until I get some more pennies!
Hi Victoria, just spotted this card on the Daring Cardmakers blog. Just love it! The satin bow sets the card off very well.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are(were)poorly. Hope you are better soon.

Hi Victoria
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the Daring Cardmakers Challenge - I love your card! Good luck with the new blog. I will get your prize in the post to you this weekend.

Lovely card, Victoria and congratulations on winning our Crimson Cloud prize.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about the suitcases on my card - I used my Craft Robo to cut them out, It's an electronic cutting machine (or cutter-plotter) which allows you to resize the shapes to the dimensions you want for your project. You can use templates that are available with the machine, b=to buy from various places or you can do as I do and make your own. The suitcases were originally a free colouring page I found on the net
hope that helps rather than confuses!
Great card for the dare, love the map.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in with us at DCM.
Love your card Victoria and I am please to see you won the goodies from Crimson Cloud (you can keep saving your pennies for something else!)You asked how I stamped in white. I stamped using a glue pad and then sprinkled on white embossing powder which is then heated with a heat gun. It gives a much stronger finish than just stamping in white ink.
